I'm dedicated to recruit and develop young players who want to learn to play the game of soccer. The game of soccer as an opportunity to teach physical and technical skills while encouraging academic and social development. Developing the UNION players, I encourage continuous involvement of the parents & players. The Team emphasizes "A UNION" and respect between our players & when competing against other teams. Players born From August 1st,1996 to July 31st,1999 will be eligible to join the UNION. We will be holding our tryouts at the Parkwood Community Center/Playground the during the Month of May 2010. All prospective UNION travel team players must attend the team’s Open Practice tryouts to be considered. I will evaluate all the players on the team in my personal opinion on small-sided matches & Direction. If players played Soccer for years or never played Organized Soccer before & have potential & drive for the game. All things will be considered equally.

The focus for the UNION :

Wanting to be there & having fun practicing and playing the game of soccer

Understand his role as a team player and offer support and encouragement to his UNION teammates

Develop sportsmanship and a respect for the game

Enjoy learning the fundamental skills, tactics, and strategies related to the game of soccer

Develop self-esteem and confidence

Believe in themselves and strive to improve all aspects of their game continually on & off the field.

The players will be notified that they made or did not make the travel team. When contacted - the player should be prepared to answer yes or no to the offer to play. By that time you should know if this is a commitment your child and family are willing to make. Your decision could have impact on other players also waiting for a call as the spots on the team are limited.
